Monday's a Bitch # 1

1. Have you ever fallen for someone who turned out to be nothing like they seemed?
Yes. After my beak up with my last relationship, I met a guy who is indeed very sweet and caring and I almost caught myself falling for him but then again, he suddenly turned out to be a stranger and he left me hanging alone without any explanations. Sad right? But now I’m moving on.

2. When was the last time you had an embarrassing fall? And did you injure yourself?
Last year, I fell on the stairs at my school and there were lots of people around that time who saw me. I was really, really embarrassed.

3. Do you enjoy the music of Fall Out Boy?
Yes.

4. For you, what is the best part of the fall season?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a fall season here so I can’t tell the best part of it.

5. Have you ever had a falling out with someone over something that was completely insignificant? If so, what was it over?
Yes, I had this argument with my classmate because he got upset when I didn’t allow him to copy my assignment. LOL! But still, we ended up as good friends.

I'm Sick

Finally, my internet connection is back. I wasn’t able to update and go online since my connection was down for almost two days. And now that it is up for good, I will now be able to do my tasks assigned to me.

Actually, I still have loads of works to do for this week and my cousin even asked me to do her a little favor. She asked for my help to research for her report about futures trading. She’s not that familiar with the said topic that’s why I’m now starting to help her so she can have more information about it. After that, I’ll start my own things so I will be able to do some of them on time. But then, I’m having my second thoughts to work on my school stuffs because I’m not feeling well and I guess I need to take a rest first so I can do more tomorrow.

I just hope that I will feel a lot better when I wake up tomorrow morning.

Depends on the situation.

Boredom!!

I noticed that my dad is always having his mood swings. He used to be busy working but now that he retired, he gets bored at times and I think that is one of the reasons why he always has his mood swings.

We really don’t know how to entertain him because sometimes, he often prefers to stay in their room all afternoon alone whenever he’s not in the mood. We tried to talk to him but he never tells us what he really wants to do.

We are kind of worried about him because he easily gets upset with no reason. We want to help our dad that’s why my sister decided to give him wine of the month club membership so he can be able to join some activities. But I suggested that a very good vacation for him and my mom will be a much better option so they can spend time together.

Fortunately, my sister and as well as my brother agreed with my idea and now, my sister is looking for a very nice travel for them.

We hope that this can help my dad to overcome boredom and of course we hope that they will enjoy their upcoming trip.

Figure Conscious

My friend just gave birth to his first son who weighs 8lbs. She sent me her son’s picture and he’s really cute and indeed handsome.

During her pregnancy, she really gained a lot of weight that’s why she got really frustrated and she almost lost her confidence because of that. She used to be slim and sexy but now the curves were gone. She doesn’t even want to go out with us because she’s ashamed of her figure. But I told her that it’s normal especially when a woman gets pregnant.

I told her that she doesn’t have to worry about it so much because for sure, she will be able to get her normal figure back since taking care of her baby will surely be a very tedious and hard work for her. And aside from that, she also has plenty of options like diet pill, regular exercise or even medical operations.

Well, I just hope that eventually, she will be able to get rid of her frustrations and cope up with her present situation.

Friday Fill-Ins #2

1. My best friend’s birthday and vacation are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October.

2. Sometimes I ran out of reasons to understand “my friend”.

3. I almost give up but then I thought that I must stay strong and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"!

4. When I'm down, I cry to lessen the pain.

5. Online is where you'll find me most often.

6. A rainy day is good for staying at home and for drinking delicious hot chocolate.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to sleep more, tomorrow my plans include shopping at Greenhills and Sunday, I want to take a rest!

More of this here!

September 26, 2008

I can’t believe what happened to me this day. It seems like I got all the embarrassments and bad curses for this day. I swear, this might be the most disastrous day for this month of September. LOL!

I woke up late this morning because I forgot to set my alarm clock, so I hurriedly run into the bathroom and I accidentally pour a very hot water in my feet. After that, when I was eating my breakfast, I spilled my chocolate milk in my uniform which of course forced me to change though I am super late.

When I was on my way to school, I was stuck in a heavy traffic but after thirty minutes, I was able to reach my school and I am almost an hour late but good thing, my professor is not yet there. A couple of hours have passed and it’s time for us to go home because I only have one subject to attend to. I got my bag and immediately left the room because I was excited to go home so I can take a nap since I was very sleepy.

When I was on my way home, I got my pouch to get some money to pay the fare and I accidentally dropped it and all my things fell from it including my lip gloss, coin purse, pens, mirror and other stuffs. The other passengers helped me gather my things and I was quite embarrassed for what had happened.

It’s been a complete disaster for me and I really hate it.

I Badly Miss Her

..::Advance Happy Birthday Twin::..

It’s been a year since I saw my best friend. It’s really sad because she’s she one that I can really turn to whenever I feel so down and she never fails to brighten up my day with all her corny jokes and mushy lines. She’s now living in Laguna and we seldom talk since she’s busy with her school stuffs and her family. We don’t get much time to get along because she rarely visits Manila.

She will be celebrating her birthday this coming October 4, 2008. I’m looking forward to see her on her special day but I don’t know if I can find time to visit her in Laguna because I think it will be our examination and final defense week.

But then again, if time will not permit me to visit her, I’m planning to send her a gift so that she will know that though we are far from each other, I still remembered her birthday. Probably I’ll be getting custom picture frames and surprise her with our very nice pictures.

I really miss my best friend and I’m really hoping to see her and spend some time with her SOON!

Wordless Wednesday no.15 - Melancholic

coffee break ver: 1.37

For this week’s coffee break

Leaders may either be born or made. In some circumstances, you will see the potential of a person to be a great leader even at their early young age. That’s why when we see these things in a child we sometimes say “It runs in the blood” especially when the family has their own background of leadership.

However, everyone has the capacity to be a great leader if and only if that certain person has the guts or deep interest to become one. Leadership can be develop within ourselves if we are willing to learn from all the challenges that will come through us and apparently, we can be a great leader if we choose to take the duties and be responsible enough without complaining.

It’s in our own choice whether we choose to become a leader or simply a follower of the leader. We are the ones who can determine our own strengths and weaknesses which will enable us to choose the right and best thing to do.

As from my own experiences, I used to be a leader way back then. And until now, I choose to be one for I am very devoted in being a role model. And for all instances, I wasn’t born a leader but I indeed did my best to develop the leadership within myself and I was therefore became an effective leader.

Dilemma

For the past few weeks, I always end up sleeping late. For most of those times, I slept between two o’clock to three o’clock in the morning since I need to finish all my school duties so I can meet the deadline.

Because of this, my pimples became more active than before. It started to boost again and it’s very irritating since it doesn’t look well. So I decided to consult my dermatologist earlier than my scheduled treatment. Fortunately, she gave me a pimple cream to dry up all the pimples so that it will not be that painful for me when my treatment starts. I was then asked to come back after one week of using the cream for a follow up treatment.

Still, I’m lucky because I can see the effects of my medication and so far, it’s getting well than my previous months. Thanks to Dra. Ty for giving me the proper and effective treatments that I really need.

Let's Ride

We can never deny that most boys nowadays have passion for luxurious sports car and even motorbikes. In fact, they even established different organizations. Furthermore, these organizations facilitate shows for their cars and motorbikes every now and then and sometimes they travel to different places together.

Just like my friend who is very passionate when it comes to his used Harleys. He really gives his effort and much time to take proper care of it and to participate in such events with his other friends and brothers. He indeed worked hard to have his own motorbike and I can say that he was delighted when he was able to purchase one of his precious dreams.

But we must never forget the danger that the riders can experience. So I suggest that they must take proper education for this and they must always be prudent especially when they are on the road to prevent accidents and obviously to be safe as well.

Which Path Should I Take?

I’ve already mentioned a couple of times about my difficulties in my subjects. Yes, I’m still stuck in my course and I don’t have plans to shift courses by now, but if I’ll fail in some of my subjects for this semester, then I guess it’s really time for me to shift.

All I’m waiting now is the judgment day which is the distribution of our class cards. I’m definitely nervous and I actually don’t know if I can pass my major subject because as I said, I’m really having a hard time with it. And I mean it when I say hard time. I don’t know what pushes me to continue with this. But I would rather study harder and give my best than to give up but I just hope that it will all be worth it.

I’ll just wait for the day to find out if Computer Science is really for me or not. I know I can get through this. School sucks! Really!! LOL!

Friday Fill-Ins #1

This is my first friday fill-ins.

1. There is no need for me to hold on with my past since I know that it is not worth it anymore.

2. Where in the heck did the crazy girl in front of our school come from? She cares me a lot.

3. Moving on is all I managed to do.

4. Prospects for passing my major subjects will surely be a great step for me to continue with my course.

5. Loyalty, Love and Honesty is the message.

6. Simplicity and tranquility are what we need to live a happy life.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to blog more, tomorrow my plans include attending a seminar and Sunday, I want to rest if time permits me!

More of this fill-ins here.

coffee break ver: 1.36

For this week’s coffee break

I’ve been so hooked on the latest TV series Gossip Girl. It was played in ETC and I was able to watch it from the very beginning to their season finale and I even bought a copy of their DVD so I can watch it all over again.

I really like the story since I can relate with their teenage life. Also, I like the way they interact with other people and the way they deal with all the gossips even at their very young age. I just simply love them. The different characters that they portrait, their personality, the fashion trends and of course the true friendship between each character.

It’s good to know that no matter what happens between you and your friends, neither good nor bad, the strong bonding and the thought of friendship will always remain intact with each other. A true friendship will never be destroyed with any kind of gossips as long as you hold on with trust and honesty.

I really can’t wait for the next season. I’m so excited about it. Another season means another movie marathon and I think I’ll need a better tv lifts so I can watch comfortably. LOL!

His Birthday Wish

My cousin is a certified computer addict. He never let a day pass by without playing with his computer. Actually, he asked his dad to buy him a PS3 since he will be celebrating his birthday this coming October.

Unfortunately, his dad didn’t agree with him because he thought that this will lead him to a deeper addiction and the worst thing that may happen is that it may affect his studies as well. Of course as a father, he doesn’t want that to happen because he really expects the best from his son.

But still, my cousin begs for it because he really wants to have it. He’s been asking for it for so long and that’s why he felt so blue when his request was rejected. But then his dad gave him a promise that if he will be able to maintain his position on the honor roll, he might get his birthday wish.

And now, he’s really studying hard and he always gives his best not that just for the
PS3 but also to make his parents proud and happy.

Happy Christmas!!

97 days to go before Christmas and I can definitely feel the season. I can already hear Christmas Carols and I can even see Christmas decorations especially at the malls. Christmas sale is even starting and indeed, I can feel the cold breeze for most of the days.

In fact I already posted my initial list for my Christmas shopping and I even posted it here. And now, I want to make my second list so that my Christmas shopping job will not be that tedious for me.

So here is my list…
*for my cousin Tessa – I will buy her some clothes or perfumes.
*for my cousin Nepo – Maybe a shirt will do or a wresting action figure.
*for my aunties – I would probably give them bags or accessories.
*for my uncles – Maybe handkerchiefs or t-shirts.
*for my niece Bela – I’m still searching for a very unique baby gifts or I’ll just buy her some dresses.

Oh gosh, I’m so excited for Christmas already. And since we are going to Hong Kong this November, I might be doing some of my Christmas shopping there. I think I’ll be filling my luggage with so many shopping stuffs. LOL!

Ten Years From Now...

We are asked to write an essay about ourselves after ten years. We have to envision ourselves and we have the freedom to state whatever dreams we have. So here is mine…

I’ve never been in the most oppressive part of my life until I entered the seemingly complicated life of a college student. All my life, I’ve known for being so chic, posh and vain that’s why I’ve always wanted to be in the field of fashion, modeling and such things that simply go with it. Certainly, I’ve also wanted to be known in the industry of writing and journalism for I am a writer with the capability of handling the ambivalence of my own existence and as well as the superficial catastrophes in the world.

But as time passed by, the mystical and prophetic nature of my dreams became so different. The time has finally come for me to decipher and decide which path to take. Surprisingly, I took another path and I always admit that it was never easy as I thought it would be.

I became a part of the very complicated and logical world of computers which somehow drove me insane. Practically, I set aside my plans of becoming a famous icon in the industry of fashion and I took another step to build my dreams of becoming an I.T. professional. But then again, I never thought that I’ll find myself hanging in the absolute certainty of digital computers because way back then, I was never interested and a bit adamant in these kinds of stuffs. Nevertheless, I never lamented being in this so called abyss for I was eager enough to end up as an I.T. professional in the corporate and elite society. And though I was stuck in the middle of the Computer Studies Department, I still continued to take up Computer Science in lieu of other courses related to fashion.

For the past ten years, I am a certified I.T. professional. I was able to work in different companies and my experiences indeed helped me a lot in running my current business. Yes, I’m now the big boss of my own company which is widely known all over the globe and working with my colleagues is such a really great pleasure. I am fortunate enough to continue the legacy of my family and furthermore, I was able to produce peculiar computer systems which are being used by other people nowadays.
Modesty aside, I was then able to pursue my other dreams. I am a writer now and was able to publish certain books and earned a lot which benefited the less fortunate people. Other than this, I was apt to make my blog as popular as before. Definitely, writing boosted me to achieve what I’ve got and who I am right now. I can therefore say that I am a well trained writer now for I’ve learned so many things from the past years of my life. Furthermore, I am also a part time fashion designer now for some of the best and popular icons in the said industry and was able to put up my own fashion boutique with the latest trends and styles.

But for now, I’m pretty busy working on my upcoming dream wedding with the man of my dreams. And now that I’m nearing the great climax of my life, I pray to God that everything between us will be close enough to define the beauty of everlasting love for I believe that in the silent vastness of the mysterious universe, I know that there is such a place as perfection then it couldn’t be anything more than that.

And again, for the past ten years, I am very thankful for I was able to live my life at exactly how I want it. Thanks to all the people who inspired me as I walk on my journey and helped me deal with the darkness and heartaches that I somehow chose to endure. And most especially, I thank the BIG BOSS who is up above for all the knowledge, strength and blessings that He bestowed upon me and for without Him, I will never be this close to perfection.

High School Reunion

I and some of my high school batch mates had a reunion last weekend at my friend’s house. It was a pot luck party and everyone really had a great time. It’s the first time that we saw each other again since our graduation and we were all happy to see each other.

Everyone noticed that all of us had changed with the way we look. Our childlike friend has really turned into a teenage chic and she was absolutely fabulous. Our passive friend just currently turned into a fashion model and here’s another thing, our friend who from the past has really been so fat, was now losing weight and she was so happy and proud about it. She even told us about her routines and she clearly stated that she didn’t take any diet pills and everything was just natural. She exercised regularly and she was able to undergo a very serious diet. And now, she indeed gained a lot of confidence and she’s not that shy anymore.

It was a one hell of a night. It was so much fun and we are all looking forward to do it again. I miss my high school life. Too bad, we were not able to take pictures since we were all busy chatting with one another.

Certified Bookworm

I love reading books, absolutely. That’s why some of my friends tell me that I’m such a bookworm. Oh well, it’s my fetish. I always make it a point to read books before I go to sleep. I am so addicted to the books of Paulo Coelho, Nicholas Sparks, Mitch Albom, Sophie Kinsela, J.K. Rowling and Bob Ong. They are all a great author and I really learn a lot of things from them.

Actually, it was my cousin who influenced me to read books, and since then I really became so attached with it. And because of that, I’m also trying to influence my friends who don’t have much interest in reading. But still I insisted that’s why I let them borrow some of my collections but they really refuse to read. They always tell me that they don’t have time, they are lazy, they easily get tired when they are reading too much, etc.

So I suggested them to take the audio book as another option. I know they will enjoy it much more since they find reading as a boring thing. And somehow, they agreed with my suggestion and they are now starting to save money so they can buy one.

Well, I’m happy that in some ways, I became a good influence to them and I know that it will surely help them develop their creativity and vocabulary.

My Little Black Dress

Snag this form my sister abie.

What Your Little Black Dress Says About You

You are elegant, classy, and sophisticated.

You know how to turn heads when you enter a room... and then keep people interested with your witty banter.

Your style is classic, tailored, and flawless. You don't fall for silly fashion trends.

If you were a shoe, you would be: Classic black pumps

Pollution

As we can see, our country is too polluted nowadays. Fresh air may no longer exist in some parts of our country due to the different pollutants present in our environment.

People are the number one causes of pollution. Why? Because many people nowadays are being too irresponsible when it comes to taking care of the environment. They throw their trashes anywhere they want. They don’t know how to clean up their own messes. They don’t recycle things that can still be used. Smoke belching. Cigarette Smoking and other things like that.

You see, these circumstances can obviously harm us. We can acquire diseases such as respiratory infections, skin diseases like acne and skin asthma and our immune system will surely become weaker.

So let’s not waste our time. We have to start doing our responsibilities and duties as a citizen. Let’s not be ignorant of the things that have been happening in our surroundings and let’s help each other to prevent pollution.

Things To Do

It’s been a very busy week for me and though it’s already Friday, I still have loads of works to do this weekend. In short, I will not be able to enjoy my weekend and I’ll be very busy too. And because of this, I decided to plan my schedule and as well as my duties for this week.

So here it is…

Friday night: I have to finish my blog things as well as my research and written report for one of my subjects.
Saturday morning: I have to assist the personnel who will deliver mom’s office furniture and our new sofa.
Saturday afternoon: I have to go to University of Makati with my classmates to attend the Software Freedom Day and we’re so excited about it.
Saturday evening: I have to finish my assignments in programming because we have to submit them next Friday. It’s so hard to do but I hope I can finish them all.
Sunday morning: Go to church.
Sunday afternoon: Our block is scheduled to meet at one of classmates’ house to finish all the things that we need for the seminar that we will conduct on Monday at our school. We still have to polish the flow of the program as well as the freebies and foods that we will be giving.
Oh well, these are just some of my duties for this weekend and I’m really hoping that I will be able to do all these things.

Wordless Wednesday no.14 - What's the Difference?

Is there any difference between the schedule? LOL!

I Am Different...

They say that a life of a Computer Science student is way too different from the others. And yes, I somehow agree with that. With my observations, we live in a very complicated world of computers with so much coding, debugging and programming. In some ways, only US can able to understand those things neither each other’s thoughts.

We share the same logical world and we therefore understand that some people can possible say that we are like abnormal people living a different lifestyle. We admit that we live an abnormal life for most of our times, we sleep in the morning and we are all awake in the evening. Sleepless nights are our thing. In fact, we don’t have time when it comes to kikay stuffs since what we always carry with us are laptops full of programming languages. We are absolutely weird but intellectual. LOL!

So now tell me, can you define my life right now? Can you draw the flowchart of my life? Hahahaha.. I’m stuck in a situation that only logical people like me will understand. LOL!! Will I increment or decrement? Tell me!!

The Twelve Days of Christmas

We are very familiar with this Christmas Carol. But have you ever wondered what the song really symbolizes? If we will notice, the lyrics of the song don’t make any sense until we understand it deeply with our hearts and minds.

One of my professors when I was in my second year in college shared us the true meaning of the song behind its lyrics and here is how it goes.

*True Love simply refers to God Himself.
*The Partridge in a Pear Tree symbolizes Jesus who died in the cross. Christ is referred to as the mother partridge that is willing to sacrifice to decoy predator. Like Christ, He sacrificed just to save us from our sins. The tree is the symbol of the fall of the human race through the sin of Adam and Eve. It also symbolizes the cross where Jesus Christ died.
*2 Turtle Doves refers to the Old and New Testaments.
*3 French Hens refers to the three gifts of the Spirit – Faith, Hope and Love.
*4 Calling Birds refers to the four Evangelists – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
*5 Golden Rings represents the first Five Books of the Bible - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
*6 Geese a Laying refers to the six days of creation.
*7 Swans a Swimming symbolizes the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and the seven Sacraments.
*8 Maids a Milking refers to the eight Beatitudes.
*9 Ladies Dancing refers to the nine Fruits if the Holy Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
*10 Lords a Leaping simply refers to the Ten Commandments of God.
*11 Pipers Piping refers to the eleven faithful apostles.
*12 Drummers Drumming refers to the twelve point of belief in the Apostle’s Creed.

And now that we know the true meaning of the song, we should never forget to sing this with respect and love for Christ because this symbolizes His life, teachings, gifts and as well as His death.

My Initial List for Christmas

BER months are on and as we all know, when BER strikes at the calendar it only means one thing; CHRISTMAS season officially starts. It’s very obvious especially here in Philippines since it’s been a tradition to us.

As early as now, I’m starting to make my Christmas shopping list for my friends and family because I don’t want to rush when it comes to this.

*my sister abie – I’m planning to give her something from Body Shop.
*my brother – plain white shirt from Giordano or Folded and Hung because that’s what he really wants.
*my mother – make up (she always requests for that)
*my dad – I still have no idea.
*my cousins Jego and Jebriel –
talking watches or action figures
*my cousins Aliah and Jahnna – accessories or clothes will do
*my cousin Jason – Since he loves reading, I would probably give him books.

For my friends? Actually, we agreed to have an exchange gift and we decided to give whoever we pick a pair of Havainas. Well I guess I really need to save more money for this.

These are just some of my plans for my Christmas shopping. I’m not yet done with my complete list since I do have godchildren to consider. So I think I have to do my Christmas shopping as early as now.

Kismet - Destiny

Here’s a follow up about my post here. This is the story of our promising movie that we made during our second year in college.

The story revolves around the main characters named Vincent and Janel. It all started when Vincent saw Janel’s organizer at the park which she accidentally dropped while she was on his way home. She got really worried when she found out that her organizer was lost because some of her contacts and meetings were noted there. On the other side, Vincent got curious about the organizer so he tried to look further until he discovered Janel’s contact number and he decided to text her to inform her that he got the organizer and he then asked Janel where he can send it back. Janel decided to meet him but there were circumstances wherein their meet ups were cancelled due to certain reasons but still they continued texting until they both fell in love though they still haven’t see each other.

Then the day has finally come for them to meet each other and they both agreed to meet at the exact same place where Vincent found the organizer. Unfortunately, while Janel is on her way to the park, she got stuck due to heavy traffic and she cannot text Vincent because she accidentally forgot to bring her cell phone. Hours passed and Vincent is still waiting for her but then he thought that Janel cannot make it again so he decided to go and leave the organizer, rose, Butterfinger chocolate and a cassette tape on the bench, hoping that Janel will be able to get it.

Then finally, while Janel is walking her way to their meeting place, he bumped on a guy but he ignored it since she is in a hurry. She never thought that the guy that she bumped into is no other than Vincent and same as Vincent, he never thought that it was Janel.

Suddenly, while Janel is sitting at the bench, she heard a noise and he found out that there is a guy who got stabbed but still, he didn’t know that it was Vincent because she’s still busy waiting for him to come. Then a moment later, she noticed her organizer, the rose, Butterfinger chocolate and the cassette tape. She took them all and decided to go home.

Years passed and yet she hasn’t received any message form Vincent since then. She misses him so much that’s why she decided to come back at the park. She sat on the bench crying then suddenly a guy approached her and gave her a hanky. They talked for a while and then she noticed that there was a name Vincent printed on it. She asked the guy but then he remained silent and simply asked Janel to come with him. Then Janel noticed that they are on their way to cemetery. While they were standing in front of a tomb, the guy hugged her and she was surprised because she doesn’t know who the guy is. Then the guy told her how much he loves her and then he showed her the tomb and the name Vincent was written on it. Then all of a sudden, the guy disappeared and she realized that the guy who hugged her was Vincent. She cried so hard and when she got home, she listened to the cassette tape and it was a song entitled "Kismet". It was written by Vincent for Janel. Janel can’t do anything but to cry and she listens to the song every day.

Early Christmas Gift For Me

I am always updated with the latest gadgets that we have today. I always make it a point that I will have an idea on a certain product so that I will be able to know the advantages and disadvantages of it.

My siblings and I once had a Nintendo way back then. I can still remember that it was a gift from my dad while he was still going abroad. But since it is now an old school gadget, we never use them anymore because we really can’t find available games for it unlike before.

My brother and I really want to have a Nintendo Wii but then we both know that my mom will not allow us to buy one because she thinks that we will just use it for a short period of time. But then my brother begged her because he really wants to have one because it can also be a means of exercise. But still we have to wait for my mom’s approval.

Other than that, I also want to buy a Nintendo DS for myself. Actually, I’m planning to ask my brother to buy me one and it will serve as his early Christmas gift for me but I don’t think that he will agree with my idea. So I guess I just have to save my own money for that.

Love Story

During my second year in college, we were assigned to make a short movie in one of our subjects. We were given the prerogative to choose our own concept of the story as well as the cast and directors.

We first came up with a decision to make a love story then after that we started to write the script and when we were done, we showed it to our professor and ask for her approval. After that, we distributed the two main roles and I was very fortunate to play the role of the lead actress. My good friend also got the role of the lead actor and that’s the reason why I didn’t had a hard time to work with the movie because we were very comfortable with each other’s company.

We were able to finish our movie for about two months, including the closed captioning and editing of the said video. But during the editing, we experienced a lot of problems and we thought that we will not be able to meet the deadline but then we were still fortunate enough that we were able to finish it on time.

We were really overjoyed because we never thought that we can come up with a very promising movie and thanks to all my classmates who participated and as well as to our professor who supported us from the very beginning until the end.

For this week’s coffee break

As we all know, there is nothing more powerful than prayer. In fact, it is the best way to communicate with the Big Boss who is up above. Whatever religion or beliefs we have, we still end in praying.

As a Catholic, I never forget praying to God to thank Him for all the blessings and ask Him for forgiveness. I always see to it that I will find time to do my prayers however busy I am. It’s also my best way to talk to God about my thoughts and problems and I know that in time, He will grant my prayers.

We can never deny that there are some people who forget to pray and they will only remember it when they are in a very big trouble or when they are really in need of a helping hand. But we should not tolerate this kind of value. Though we don’t need anything from Him, we should never forget to thank Him for everything.

Other people may say that God never listen to their prayers because they still don’t receive any hopes and blessings from Him. But I believe that God will never try to ignore us. I believe that there is a perfect time for everything and all we have to do is be more faithful and trust Him.

Miracles happen when we really deserve it. God will touch our lives to teach us the lessons that we have to learn from our own mistakes. It’s our duty to show Him that we deserve all the love, chances and graces that He’s bestowing upon us.

Safety First

I have already discussed about my brother’s plan to apply for car insurance from my previous post. He really wants to apply for it but unfortunately, he can’t have enough time to arrange the requirements since he has many responsibilities and tasks to commit.

Nevertheless, he asked me a favor to list down all the requirements that he has to submit so he can inform his friend who will take charge of the application for him. And so I did what he asked me. Last night, I gave him the following details for his car insurance and he is now starting to coordinate with his friend so they can settle the preconditions of the online insurance company and by then, he will be able to acquire the online car insurance quotes and finally undergo the processing.

As I can see, my brother is definitely ardent to rack up the insurance. He’s very delighted because he has his good friend to assist him. I know that my brother is just running after for the security of himself, other people and of course his car that’s why he wants to settle everything as soon as possible.

I Want My Own House

My cousin is planning to have their own house but unfortunately they still don’t have enough money to support the full payment. But then again, they decided to take another option which therefore is her hubby’s idea to try a trustful mortgage company.

They tried to apply and they were asked to submit following requirements for the approval. Needless to say, they were able to meet the following requirements since both of them have stable jobs which enable them to earn a good income.

Fortunately, they were already given the mortgage quotes to help them decide for the best house that they want. Aside from that, they were able to plan and arrange their budget for the down payment and they are planning to pay it by next month as soon as they accomplish everything that they need.
Well, I’m sure that they will be able to plan everything as soon as possible. I know that this will also be a great step for their family to live a better and happy life.

Waiting for November

Two months from now and November strikes our calendar. And so what? What’s so special with November?

Oh well, November is the most awaited month for me, my sister, brother and cousins simply because we are scheduled for a trip to Hong Kong and Macau. LOL! We are so excited and we are really starting to count the remaining days before our trip.

Actually, our itinerary is already planned and ready. My sister and my cousin have arranged it already as well as the expected expenses for our upcoming trip. That’s how organized they are.

Of course shopping is on top of our list. What’s new? LOL! We’re not going to waste our chance for our shopping marathon. We even allotted more time for shopping than visiting some places there! We also started to make a long list for the things that we need to buy. Hahaha.. Oh well, a shopaholic person will always be a shopaholic unless they are willing to change! LOL!

It's A Brand New Car

It’s been two weeks since my brother bought his brand new car. He really invested so much for that because he wants to have his own car. It’s actually one of his dreams to buy a brand new car with his very own money before he gets married. Of course as his younger sister, I feel so happy for him because I can see how satisfied he is with his new car.

He asked my dad’s help to arrange everything for his car even at its very small detail since he’s also busy with his current business. Fortunately, my dad is very willing to help him and he is the one who brings the car at the shop where my brother bought it for its regular check up.
Furthermore, my brother is a bit worried for the different circumstances that may happen. That’s the main reason why he’s planning to apply for car insurance because he always considers his safety and as well as other people’s safety.

Well, I think that’s a good idea and I’m hoping that he will push through with his plans.

Happy Birthday Jego!!

My cousin’s birthday is about to come. He will be celebrating his seventh birthday on October 31, 2008. Obviously, we only have days to prepare everything for the upcoming party.

Everyone is busy preparing now. His parents are already looking for a nice venue and as well as my sister who is the expert in this field. Furthermore, my auntie decided to take the responsibility for the souvenirs and the programs.

My sister and I suggested having a Halloween party since that’s the way the birthday celebrant wants to. So they agreed and we decided to take charge of the designs with the help of our uncle. I even took charge of the Halloween invitations so we can distribute them in time for his birthday.

I can see how excited my cousin is. Just the thought of having a party with his friends and family will surely make him so happy, plus the fact that he will be able to receive gifts from his visitors.

I’m hoping that we can be able to do everything successfully and I hope that this party will have lots of fun and excitement.

Over A Cup of Coffee

I spent my Saturday night with two of my super girlfriends, Athena and Gayle. We then decided to see other at Starbucks because we have lots of things to talk about and as what we always do, we talk about everything over a cup of coffee.

When we got there, my friend Athena began to tell her frustrating and sad stories about her current relationship. I feel so sorry for her because she was about to cry but she was just trying to control it because she doesn’t want to be seen by other people crying. She’s so devastated and really in so much pain. Gayle and I can’t do anything to ease the pain but of course we stayed on her side and comfort her.

I know how much pain she’s going through right now and I hate to see it because I do get affected every time I see my friends crying. I don’t know how to help her but all I can do is to assure her that I will never leave her behind no matter what.

It’s been a melancholic day for the three of us. We were all feeling blue and it feel like everything is so miserable. But still, there’s a bit of happiness though we were all grieving for pain because we got a chance to talk and be together again. I just hope that everything will soon be fine.

coffee break ver: 1.34

For this week's coffee break...

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!! Mamasko po! We usually here these lines during Christmas.

Oh yes! BER months are on which means that Christmas is fast approaching. Few days from now, we will be hearing the kids singing their Christmas Carols. Simbang gabi will start. Puto-bungbong will now be available and of course opening of Christmas gifts with friends and family is the most exciting part of this season.

These are just some of the things that I love about Christmas. But for me, the best part of Christmas is celebrating it with your family as one. Sharing the love that we use to have and giving importance with the birth of Jesus Christ.

In fact, this is my favorite holiday for I can see how happy our family despite of the trials that we’ve going through. We can still able to celebrate it without regrets in our lives but only happiness and joy in our hearts.

Happy Christmas everyone!!

Good Luck My Friend

My friend is a fresh graduate with a degree of Bachelor Science in Computer Studies Major in Computer Science. She’s been working at Singapore for three months now but as from what I have heard, she’s not happy with the benefits that she’s earning. She wants a better job that will enable her to earn bigger income since she still has to support her brother and sister in their education.

Fortunately, she was advised by her cousin to try her luck in other countries. She then agreed and she immediately considered her cousin’s opinion. She looked for a nice job that will cover her abilities and capabilities as a programmer.

A couple of weeks later, she found different opportunities that she can take. She started to submit Atlanta resumes and she’s really willing to work for them even though she has to live far from her family. She’s indeed ready to sacrifice just to help her parents and support her siblings.

I really admire her for everything that she’s been doing for her family. I can definitely say that she is a very good daughter to her parents and a sister to her siblings. I’m just hoping that she will be successful for whatever path she takes.
