A Day With My Friends

I was hanging out with my friends last week at Midtown. We arrived there at around 11:30am and it was a very good time for lunch. We then decided to eat our lunch at our favorite restaurant and after that we decided to watch a movie.

After a couple of hours, one of my friends ask us if we could go shopping so we can have something to do. We went around the mall to look for something that we can buy. We stopped at a flip flop boutique and we decided to buy a pair of flip flops and we all had the same design and color.

After we finished buying our flip flops, we went at the department store to look for a nice pool floats because my friend needs to buy one for her little sister for their upcoming trip to Bohol. It was hard for us to find it since it is not yet the summer season but at the end of our search, we still got one at a very friendly price.

Hours passed and I think all of us were already tired that’s why we decided to go home. It was really a very fun day and we really enjoyed each other’s company.

I'll Be Right Back

Five hours from now and we are finally off to Baguio. I’m so excited because it’s been long years since I last went there.

Actually, I have classes tomorrow but I managed to ask for an excuse to my professors. I’m so fortunate that they allowed me and I will not be considered as absent since I submitted an excuse letter signed by my mom.

I know it’s a bit late now and I have to wake up early because we are leaving at around four o’clock in the morning. It’s really early and it’s hard for me to wake up because obviously, I’m not a morning person. LOL!

Well anyway, I think I should start logging off my computer because I still have to pack my things for our travel and definitely, I need to take a rest so I can wake up early.

Well then, I must say goodbye for now and I’ll be back in three days and I promise to share you some of our photos from our travel.

My Future Plans

As early as now, I’m starting to build plans for my future. Though I’m still undecided on which path I should take. I’m still battling between certain decisions that I must make as soon as possible. Nevertheless, I do have ideas on where will I be five years from now.

I’m a Computer Science student so basically I should deal with different computer languages, but I don’t know if I will end up as a computer programmer. Well, maybe yes but I still want to pursue my dreams even after I graduated as a Computer Science student.

Most of my interests deal with fashion, theater and dancing .These are the reasons why I’m starting to apply for my own savings accounts for my future use because I’m planning to create my own business someday. I want to have my own fashion boutique or a company that will handle fashion designing. I also want to have my own theater organization that will be known not only in our country but all over the globe.

Some of these may seem impossible, but who knows? Everything is possible if only I will work hard for it.

HELL WEEK

Oh my!!! Our DEFENSE is on. One week from now, we will be having our freaking defense and guess what? I am so doomed! I am honestly not ready for that.

I don’t know how to defend a program that I don’t quite understand. I may be good in reasoning and debating but not in this kind of topic. I want logical thinking about philosophies or other stuffs but not PROGRAMMING!! LOL!

I really don’t have any idea if I can manage to defend many programs all at the same time. I’m so pressured now. I’m so stressed and tired of thinking about these. Just the thought of facing my professor and presenting the different programs makes me so nervous. These will definitely be a nerve racking experience not only for me but also to my other classmates.

Oh well, I have no choice but to study our effin case studies to survive this hell week! Wish me luck guys. I need your prayers as well.

Happy Birthday!!

My auntie will be celebrating her birthday this coming August 31, 2008. I asked her if she have plans already but unfortunately she is still undecided on what she will do on the day of her birthday.

Since she wants to invite some of her friends, I volunteered to arrange the plans including the menus and decorations for the venue. This will somehow serve as my gift for her special day because I still can’t afford to buy her something. Honestly, I can’t do everything by myself that’s why I decided to ask the help of my cousin to push through with my plans and I am very fortunate because she is really willing to help me.

As much as possible, we want everything to look good, simple but elegant in the eyes of her visitors especially our auntie’s house which will be our venue. We started to have a general cleaning and we chose the best curtains and seat covers for my auntie’s birthday. We even planned to have lighting fixtures to make sure that everything will be perfect on that special day.

We still have more stuff to do just like the preparations for the food and we must be able to finalize every detail for at least two days before her birthday.

Everybody’s Dilemma

My sister’s nanny is so irritating. The fact that she’s not doing her jobs well anymore, she’s being too abusive. She doesn’t respect us anymore. What she’s doing is too much as far as I can see. She’s so moody that sometimes she would prefer not to eat her meals, frowns at everybody and chooses not to talk to any of us.

Honestly, I am so pissed with her. She thinks that I’m too grouchy every time I stay at my sister’s house in a sense that I always ask her to do many things. But the truth is, every time I stay in my sister’s house, I am the one who takes care of my niece and all she does is a nonstop texting.

Somehow she’s still fortunate because when the time comes that I got totally pissed with her, she might see the bitchy side of me and I am no kidding! She’s still lucky because I still have some respect for her because I know that she’s older than me and I really have to consider that.

Good thing that she’s leaving really soon, but I am worried for my sister because she has to search for her new nanny and I know it will be hard to do some adjustments.

Let's Talk About Fashion

Fashion is my thing that’s why sometimes, my sister and my friends consider me whenever they have questions about the different trends that we have today.

Just like last night. I was talking with my friend who takes a Fashion Design course for three years now. She told me that they will be having a presentation about their different designs which will be considered as their final examination. She asked me some tips on how they can present their own designs in a very prestigious manner in such a way that they will be easily recognized by the judges. They are not allowed to have a fashion show that’s why they are considering other things. So I suggested that a Custom Trade Show Exhibit will do.

I lent her some of my fashion magazines which cover an article about Custom Trade Show Exhibits. I know it will be very helpful for them because they will even have better ideas on how to organize a glamorous presentation including the things that they will need.

Perhaps they will need more time to prepare for their trade show displays so I just wish them a good luck.

My Brother's Car

My brother observed that his car is encountering a problem. He asked my dad if he can bring his car to the automobile repair shop so that they will know the problem that occurred. Fortunately, my dad immediately went to the shop to ask the staff to check on the car for the possible problems.

After a couple of hours, they found out that the air conditioning compressor was damaged again and my dad thought that it is always been a problem since the last two months. The staff said that a better replacement must be done as soon as possible to avoid this kind of problem from happening again. My dad called my brother to inform him about what had happened and he agreed for the said replacement.

So far, a lot of improvements were seen by my brother ever since his car was repaired. He was absolutely contented about it because he doesn’t have to worry every time he’s using his car.

For this week’s coffee break…

Back in my high school days, my only worries were my grades and my class standing. I was not a consistent honor student but I always make it to the top 10 and I always tried my best to be in the roll. Unfortunately, there were times that I didn’t make it because the competitions between the students in our class were really tough.

Though I was not a consistent honor student back then, I always received an award in conduct. Yes, I was a well behaved student and I was never seen in a fight. I was very prudent with my actions because I don’t want to commit any kinds of violations to avoid messing up with my records.

I was then an organization officer that’s why there were many duties and responsibilities that I should take and definitely that adds on my list of my worries.

Leadership Seminar

We are tasked to conduct a seminar about Personality Development and Key to Success this coming September. This will be considered as our final exam for one of our subjects for this semester. Our main objectives are to enhance the self-esteem of the students and to keep in mind the dos and don’ts of becoming a successful and professional worker or leader.

We, the officers of our class are asked to facilitate the program as well as the preparation. We started assigning our fellow classmates for their individual and group tasks for our seminar. Fortunately, everybody is doing their own participation and responsibilities well which will enable us to have a successful seminar.

Indeed, one of our classmates has already submitted a proposal for the souvenirs that will be given to our audience and as well as the gifts for the speakers as our token of appreciation for participating in our program. She suggested that we can give the audiences a promotional pens and mugs or polo shirt for the speakers.

So far, we already had a reservation for our venue and some proposals were already submitted to our professor for approval. We are hoping that by the end of August, we can finalize all the things that we need including the invitations and foods.

Wordless Wednesday no. 12 - White Tiger

House and Lot

Two years ago, my sister and her hubby bought a house and lot at Bulacan. They asked our uncle to help them to design the house because they are planning to do some renovations and in fact they even started to repair some parts of the house so that they can spend their weekends there or simply have a vacation.

Their house at Bulacan is just a one hour travel from Manila so it is very convenient to go there especially during weekends. The environment there is very relaxing, less pollution, fresh air and the neighbors are very friendly. The only problem is the network signals are not that powerful that’s why the means of communication is a bit complicated.

Because of this, my sister decided to purchase cell phone amplifiers to improve the network signal. In this case, she will now have a more developed access for communication and it will not be that hard for them anymore to communicate with other people.

Well, I hope it works because it will surely be a great help to them.

To My Family: I'm Really Sorry

I think I have already made my final decision. Yes, I have decided to shift with another course. I know it will be more complicated because I am not yet sure about the subjects that will be credited, plus the time pressure. I’m planning to take up Mass Communication since my field of interests is there and I know that I will be able to enjoy the subjects and activities that I’m going to handle.

I just can’t stand it anymore. I’m giving up because I really can’t catch up with my major subjects including programming. Things are becoming so hard for me and I know that I can’t survive anymore. I guess I’m not for Computer Science. I don’t want to see another failing grades in my records that’s why I’m dealing with this very hard decision.

I’m just worried about my family. I’m thinking about the things that they might say. I know at some point, I failed them and because of that, I feel diffident whenever I talk to them. But I have no choice but to follow the things that will make me really happy.

This is really hard for me. I hope my family will be able to understand my situation and I hope that they will still support me with my decision. I'm really sorry but I have to do this. =(

She Needs Help

I was having a little chat with my friend last night. She told me that ever since she had this terrible allergic reaction from the past couple of months, she started to have acnes in her face and even in her chest and back.

Since she knows that I undergo an acne treatment, she asked me if she can buy the medicines that I’m currently using for acnes which were prescribed to me by my dermatologist. I told her that she must consult her dermatologist first so she can be sure of the proper medications to use since we might be having a different case. But she is very hesitant to have a consultation and undergo a treatment because she’s a bit scared that it might be painful for her. So I encouraged her and I even volunteered to accompany her to have a checkup.

Fortunately, she was scheduled to come back next week for her first treatment session. She was given medications such as antibiotics to prevent the growth of her acnes.

This week’s coffee break…

As what we can see, our country is way too far from winning at Beijing Olympics. Why? It’s simple, yes our athletes are trained well as what other people may think but the truth is they are not. And it’s very superficial.

Our athletes undergo training for several years with different professionals and it’s been a tedious work for them, hence this can’t be enough to say that they are ready to compete for the Olympics. Obviously, we don’t have enough budgets that will support our athletes and even our country. We do not have facilities that will help them to train well.

Our athletes do have their prerogatives to be treated right by our government. They deserve to be one of our country’s priorities because they are the ones who represent our country. Our President will just make promises that she will do certain moves to improve these stuffs but only to bluff our country as well as our well being.

Instead of squandering those millions of money, why not use it for a much better cause? Oh well, I am so not surprised that our country is being lambasted by different countries. We must admit that we do have a lot of mistakes physically and financially and we really can’t do anything about it for now. But let’s continue to support our athletes because they are still trying their very best to represent our country.

My Precious Laptop

It’s been two months since my brother gave me my Mac Book. It was his birthday gift for me last June 10, 2008. Honestly, I didn’t expect that he’s going to give me that laptop because I know how much it cost that’s why I am so thankful and very happy when I received it the moment I woke up. But then again, I am still not used in using Mac OS that’s why I still prefer to use Windows XP.

Since I am addicted to yahoo games, I started installing some of them in my laptop. I also installed some applications that I will be using in my programming subject. Unfortunately, my laptop started to run slowly and it was my sister who discovered it.

I decided to remove some unimportant applications that I rarely use. My sister suggested that I should buy a laptop memory so that I will never have a hard time dealing with my files. So what I did is search for the best memory that can able to handle all my files and fortunately, I found one. And thanks to my sister for helping me.

His Passion for Sports

My friend is such a sports addict. He plays basketball as well as tennis and badminton very well. He’s definitely a born athlete for he is a varsity player at their school since high school and until now. He even plays golf with her dad every weekend. His dad was the one who introduced this sport to him and they often play together and this serves as their quality time.

Ever since he started playing golf, he has been addicted to it. He was even enrolled by her dad to a special class that handles teaching for the said sport and he was even trained professionally by her dad. Honestly, I will never be surprised if one day, I will see him competing for an international game.

His dad is absolutely proud of my friend because of his eagerness to learn. His dad even said that he really has a great potential and because of this, he was awarded by his dad with Cobra golf equipment so he can play much better and improve well.

In fact, he’s inviting us to watch them play golf next week and we are pretty excited about it.

My New iPod

My love for music is really conspicuous. I really can’t last a day without listening to one of my songs because it somehow helps me relax and think deeply especially under stressful conditions and even before I go to sleep.

I’ve been listening to songs of Paramore and Jason Mraz lately. I just love their songs since it somehow relates to what I’m feeling right now. Yes, I maybe too emotional now but I don’t want to sound mellow dramatic.

Oh well, so much for this. I want to thank my brother for giving me my new iPod. LOL! Actually, I was so surprised about it because I’m really not asking for it and then one night, while we were on our way home, he asked me if I want a brand new iPod and of course, I immediately said yes. Hahaha! Well, thanks again bro. You are simply the best!!

Figure Conscious

My friend is very self conscious. She goes to gym regularly because she is very eager to lose weight since she is very devastated with her figure. But then, she really can’t resist from eating too much that’s why she doesn’t have any improvements at all even though she spends a lot of her time at the gym. Since then, she stopped her regular exercise because she thought that it doesn’t help her anyway.

Until now, she’s still frustrated with herself. She feels so helpless and she really doesn’t know the best way that she can do to lose weight. She has been dealing with this problem for almost five years and yet, she doesn’t improve much. She’s starting to lose her confidence because of the fact that she’s being jeered up by people around her.

Fortunately, she found another antidote that will help her lose weight and look better. It was introduced by her cousin and they found out that it is pretty much effective. She then decided to use Orovo and she’s not that hesitant because she thinks that this will help her achieve the spinoff that she really wants. Well, I’m hoping that this will truly help her deal with her problem. Good luck my friend.

I’ve been suffering from skin irritation ever since I was a fourth year high school. I have acnes and since then, I’ve been so frustrated about it. At first, I just ignored it because my mom said that it’s just normal at my age. But things get worst and I was alarmed because my skin problem has not improved yet.

I tried natural remedies and I was advised by my mom to take vitamin E to nourish my skin. There were some improvement but I was not that happy and contented with it. So I decided to ask my mom if she can accompany me at our dermatologist so I can undergo a better treatment.
I was examined by our dermatologist and then she started treating my acnes. It’s a bit painful but very effective. She told me to come back every two weeks so I can have a simultaneous improvement easily. She gave me a mild facial wash and some medicines such as acne cream and antibiotics for my face.

Well I hope everything will be worth it and there will be a lot of improvement.

Depressions

Many of us suffer from depressions at any time in our life. These depressions sometimes lead people to do more harm than good among themselves and even with other people. But in some other way, these can serve as a great experience so we will be able to realize our own mistakes and shortcomings.

There are many causes of depressions that we may encounter as we grow older. We may experience rejection or sometimes, being cheated by the one we love can lead us to depression. Another cause is when people suffer from dreadful diseases such as Cancer and HIV/AIDS. Moreover, people may also suffer from depression when one is neglected by his family or when one feels or experiences so much failure in their lives.

Likewise, many women develop depression after giving birth to a child because of instability in levels of their progesterone and estrogen hormones.

But these depressions will never be permanent in our lives so we should not lose hope in everything that we do. We should learn how to handle every situation and we should always be responsible for every decision we make.

I Need Your Suggestions

I am so obsess with gladiator shoes and I don’t even know why. LOL!! I’ve been searching for a nice pair which is a budget friendly price since I’m only going to use my own money. Anyway, I am so lucky to find one but there are several choices to choose from that’s why I can’t decide which one to buy.

Jan’s coffee break talks about food quality, service, cleanliness and price.

I am not that fastidious when it comes to food or specific restaurants. But I do have some favorite restaurants that to recommend.

First on my list: “Dampa”
It’s a place where you can find several seafood restaurants but I will highly recommend “Trinity”. This is where our family usually eats. Their way of cooking is really different from the rest of the restaurants there and their service is good and all the staffs are very polite and kind to customers. So if you are a seafood lover, why not try to eat here.

Second in my list: “Banana Leaf”
I love a spicy food that’s why I always choose this restaurant when it comes to this kind of foods. My sister and I love their Roti Canai with curry sauce and the Penang Char. Foods are a bit expensive but it’s worth it then.

Third on my list: “Café Monaco at Banawe”
This was introduced to me by my sister. It’s a small restaurant and they serve different Korean foods as well as some Pinoy foods like Tapsilog and other things that go with it. Prices are very affordable so you must try and check this out.

Friday - Hell Day

Friday? Others may like it but some will not. Just like me. Really, I hate it when Friday comes! It’s always been a hell day for me since I entered my third year in college. LOL!

Every Friday, I have to wake up early because our class starts at 8:00am and I should not be late because I am the one who checks the attendance since I am the class secretary. Our class will end at 1:30pm and sometimes, we don’t have a break time between those periods and that’s why we always end up gobbling when lunch is served. LOL

Our next class will start at 7:00pm and that means that we have to wait for five and a half hours for that. That’s a pretty long break time right? But come on, it’s so boring! And I mean it when I say it’s boring. We really run out of things to do and sometimes we just simply end up staring at each other’s sleepy looks.

Oh well, I guess that’s the way things should be. Even if it’s always been a tedious day for us, we don’t have any choice but to just deal with it.
